The 2011 Summer Retreat at Whispering Winds in Julian is mandatory for all Symphony and Symphonic members.

We leave by bus on Saturday, Sept 3 and return by carpooling on Monday, Sept 5. Full Schedule

Music is passed out for the fall season and we start playing it at this retreat.

It is a three day retreat filled with sectionals taught by a staff of professional musicians, group rehearsals and instruction.

Family and friends are invited up on Monday, Sept 5, to enjoy an outdoor concert. You will be amazed at the progress they make in just one weekend.

There is no group transportation on Monday so please plan on driving kids home after the concert.

What To Bring

 Instrument

 Music

Instrument accessories (rosin, strings, mutes, grease, etc.)

A Flashlight

 Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, face wash, beauty products, hair dryer, shampoo, soap, etc.)

Clothing:  lighter summer clothing, jeans or comfortable pants, light jacket or sweater (bring clothes that you can layer for various weather conditions.

Snack food (optional)

Water Bottle, Bug Spray & Flashlight (needed)

Sporting equipment (optional)

There are Tennis Courts, Basketball Courts & Soccer/Frisbee Fields on the property

Don’t forget a towel (there is a pool now) and a shower towel

Sheets and blankets or a sleeping bag

***Please note you do not need to bring your concert attire!
