SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA

Violin I: three octave major scales through four sharps and four flats.

Violin II: three octave scales through three sharps and three flats; 5th position facility; vibrato

Viola: three octave C, D and E scales, two octave G and A scales; 3rd position; vibrato

Cello: three octave C, D and E scales, two octave G, A and F scales; upper position facility; vibrato and tenor clef knowledge

Bass: two octave F and G scale and one octave major scales through three sharps and three flats

Woodwinds: all major and harmonic minor scales through four sharps and four flats; chromatic scale through range of the instrument

Brass: all major and harmonic minor scales through four sharps and four flats; chromatic scale through range of the instrument; transposition as applicable

Timpani: p to f roll, tuning exercise

Percussion: snare rudiments
