Audition Information
SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
All Strings: three octave major scales and minor scales (bass: two octaves)
Viola: treble clef proficiency
Cello: tenor clef and thumb position proficiency
Woodwinds: All major, minor and chromatic scales (two or three octaves where applicable)
Brass: All major and minor scales; necessary transposition knowledge (especially horn and trumpet).
Range:
French Horn: to written C above the staff
Trumpet: to high D
Trombone: to high C, tenor and alto clef fluency
Timpani: p to f roll, tuning exercise
Percussion: snare rudiments, melodic solo
