Audition Information

IT IS EASY TO JOIN OUR CIVIC YOUTH ORCHESTRA

A $20 audition fee is collected prior to the audition.
 (cash, check, Visa or MasterCard)

All students must meet the criteria listed below for acceptance into an ensemble.

Students wanting to move to another Ensemble
Current CYO students trying to move up to a higher orchestra level
must have a signed approval from their present conductor.
Get a form from the General Manager at your next rehearsal.

Audition Criteria

CYO members are required to take private lessons on their own and participate in their school instrumental music program.

ALL ENSEMBLES - ALL INSTRUMENTS

1. You need to have a prepared solo
2. Bring a copy of the music or piece you are playing so the conductor can follow along.
3. Memorization is not necessary.
4. You will also be tested on sight reading
